Tare Label Lab · Round 2 · Milestone Direction

The badge case: 28 hexes, six tiers of truth

Every badge below is drawn with the label system's real hex geometry and type, so what you see is what would sit in the badge row. Each one is a fact a product can earn — and once earned, it never expires.

JULY 22, 2026 · CONCEPTS ONLY — NOTHING DEPLOYED
Why milestones age best: a label might sit on a bin for a year or two between reprints. "Top seller" can stop being true; "crossed 500 lbs" cannot. Every badge here is either a crossed threshold (✓ only gets truer), a year-stamped honor (like a wine vintage — historically true forever), or a human choice. The tier ladders also give regulars something to notice: "the cashews made the Ton Club."

Size check — how a ladder reads on the bin

Badges at actual label-row scale (140px, shrinking as more share the row), next to the existing cert badges they'd live with.

The honesty rules baked in

Every badge is a verifiable fact: poundage and scoop clubs come from the one-time Square all-time backfill (then a weekly increment) — no badge prints until its threshold is confirmed crossed in real data. Refill counts come from received POs. Year-stamped honors freeze a real annual result. Staff Pick is the only "soft" badge, and it says so on its face. Nothing rank-based ever prints without a year on it.

If a set wins your vote, shipping = add the winners to BADGE_DEFS (both renderers), auto-award from a labelStats lookup at print time, opt-in per label, badges only join the row at natural reprints — no-reflow rule holds, no mass reprint.
