Cinnamon Raisin Oatmeal

Cinnamon raisin oatmeal

Some mornings you just want something simple and familiar. This cinnamon raisin oatmeal is that breakfast. Plump raisins, warm cinnamon, and a touch of brown sugar make it feel like a warm hug. It takes less than 10 minutes and never disappoints.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oatsest. $0.51
  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup Thompson raisinsest. $0.57
  • 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamonest. $0.26
  • 1 tbsp light brown cane sugarest. $0.12
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Pinch of Redmond Real Saltest. $0.01

How this is calculated: recipe volume is converted to product weight, then multiplied by the current TARE unit price. Fresh ingredients and products TARE does not carry are excluded.

Directions

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a small saucepan. Stir in the oats, raisins, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and the raisins are plump.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar and butter.
  4. Serve immediately with a splash of milk if desired.
